Armin Durgut

About the Photographer

Armin Durgut was born in Zenica, Bonia and Herzegovina, where he grew up and graduated high school. In 2015, he left university to pursue photography and soon discovered his passion for documentary photography and photojournalism. He is currently a staff photojournalist at Pixsell, and devotes most his time to covering the migrant and refugee crisis in Bosnia. His work on the migrant crisis was awarded third place in the Rovinj Photodays competition in Croatia.

My Entry

EID: Muslims pray in the stadium in Zupca village, Bosnia and Herzegovina, about 30 kilometres from the capital of Sarajevo, during an Eid al-Adha prayer. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, all mosques are closed, so praying in the open is the only way.
