About the Photographer

Sharwar Apo is a Bangladeshi textile engineer by profession with a passion for photography. He began his journey as a documentary photographer in 2015. He is currently working on a long-term project to document the effects of river erosion caused by climate change.

My Entry

HUMANITY: This photo was taken during the pandemic lockdown in Dhaka, Bangladesh in May 2020. This mother suffered with her child due to a fever caused by COVID-19. She tried to admit her child to hospital but was refused admission, so she took her home where she cared for her herself.
